(Sioux City)– The Lewis and Clark Regional Water System is getting a big assist from Washington D-C. The tri-state area utility will get more than 75-point-five million dollars from the Bipartisan Infrastructure law signed by President Biden last year. That’s in addition to 22 million dollars approved earlier.
The funding will help pay for 17 miles of new water pipeline between Hull and Sheldon, a new pump station near Hull, and new meter buildings in Sheldon and Sibley.
Lewis and Clark Regional Water provides services to 20 cities and rural water systems in northwest Iowa, southwest Minnesota, and southeastern South Dakota.
