(Sioux Center)– The Lewis and Clark Regional Water System has been awarded up to $12 million through Iowa’s Water Infrastructure Fund. Governor Kim Reynolds made the announcement today (Friday) during a stop in Sioux Center.
The Lewis and Clark Regional Water System has been under construction for nearly 20 years and is now 86 percent complete. It will serve an estimated 350,000 people in northwest Iowa, southwest Minnesota and southeast South Dakota.
It was one of three projects awarded $38 million in funding from the Iowa Water Infrastructure Fund.
