Authorities say a Laurens man faces drug charges after his arrest on Monday afternoon at 4:15, when the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says they served a valid arrest warrant on Michael Ray Hood II, age 33 of Laurens, charging him with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine, 3rd or subsequent offense.
The charges against Hood II stem from an incident that occurred on October 17 of this year. Hood II was transferred from Clay County authorities to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Palo Alto County Jail. He was being held on a $7,500 cash only bond until his initial appearance before a magistrate judge.
