(Milford)– The Lakes Community Land Trust is the recipient of a 13-thousand dollar donation from the Perry and Teresa Pearson Family Foundation.
The money will be donated over three-years.
The donation is earmarked to support a proposed community design effort for the redevelopment of Milford’s east side. Jim Golden, Executive Director of the Lakes Community Land Trust, says the process will be similar to the “Old Towne” community charette conducted last year in Spirit Lake.
As a condition of the donation, the Pearson Foundation has issued a challenge to the Milford Commercial Club to match its first year payment of 4,333-dollars.
The total budget for the project is 25-thousand dollars.
