(Des Moines)– The city of Lake Park has been awarded $300,000 through the state of Iowa for the construction of a $7.1 million wastewater treatment plant.
The funding is through the state’s Wastewater and Drinking Water Treatment Financial Assistance Program created as part of Iowa Senate File 512 signed into law by Governor Kim Reynolds in January of 2018.
Lake Park is one of 16 communities awarded $6.2 million in grants through this round of the program.
