KKOJ Announces Format Revisions

January 10, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Jackson, Mn.)– Listeners of our sister station KKOJ in Jackson, Minnesota, are noticing a few changes. The station, effective today (Monday), is airing older country music. Programs and Operations Director Jason Jacobs explains…

“The opportunity became available for us to make a flip full time to classic country and we decided to do that. It’ll also kind of separate the music a little bit from what we’re playing on Xtreme Country, which is you know, you’re hearing some songs from 2000’s and 2010’s yet on Xtreme Country but that’s obviously where more of the current stuff is playing.”

Jacobs says no changes are being made to news, sports or market reports. He says weather updates will air in an hour when there is not a newscast, at the top and bottom of the hour.
