Juveniles Charged In Burglary Of Everly Community Center

(Spencer)– Several teens have been charged in connection with a recent burglary at the Hap Ketelsen Community Center in Everly.

The incident was reported to authorities this past Sunday.

A subsequent investigation resulted in the Clay County Sheriff’s Office charging a 15-year-old juvenile male from Everly with burglary in the third degree…a class “D” felony; and a second 15-year-old juvenile male from Everly with burglary in the third degree…a class “D” felony and theft in the fourth degree…a simple misdemeanor. They were charged Tuesday.

On Wednesday, authorities charged a 15-year-old male from Linn Grove with burglary in the third degree…a class “D” felony.

Later that evening, a 17-year-old Greenville male was charged with theft in the fifth degree…a simple misdemeanor.

All were cited into juvenile court and were released to the custody of their parents.

Authorities say the investigation continues and more charges are likely.
