(Des Moines)– A jury has awarded 10 million dollars to a businessman who claimed the Wild Rose Casino and its owner backed out of an agreement to let him manage the casino.
The Polk county jury ruled in favor of John Pavone of Sioux City, and his management company called Signature Management Group.
Pavone filed a lawsuit claiming he entered into a contract with Gerald Kirke and Wild Rose Entertainment to manage the Wild Rose Casino in Emmetsburg.
Kirke and his casino business deny they had entered into any contract.
The jury also found Kirke individually responsible for any breach of contract by Wild Rose Entertainment.
Wild Rose says it will appeal.
