(Spencer)– The CEO and General Manager of the Clay County Fair will be serving as Chairman of the International Association of Fairs and Expositions in 2022. Jeremy Parsons will spearhead the direction of the organization, which currently has more than 1,500 fairs and affiliated organizations globally.
The announcement was made recently during the IAFE’s annual convention and trade show.
Parsons becomes only the sixth Iowans to serve as the organization’s chairman. He joins former Clay County Fair Manager Myles Johnson, who served as chairman in 1990, and four managers of the Iowa State Fair who also served previously in that capacity.
