(Windom, Mn.)– A single-vehicle rollover early Wednesday south of Windom injured two teens.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-old Elizabeth Sayavong of Magnolia was eastbound on 440th Street when she failed to negotiate a curve near North Shore Drive. The pickup she was driving went into the ditch and rolled, coming to rest on its roof.
A passenger, 17-year-old Jesse Kerkaert of rural Windom, was believed to be ejected from the vehicle.
Kerkaert and Sayavong were transported by ambulance to Windom Area Hospital.
A 1995 Chevrolet pickup Sayavong was driving was totaled.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Windom Police Department and the Windom ambulance.
The mishap took place around 5:30 a.m. and authorities say it remains under investigation.
