Memorabilia, Collectibles and Merchandise will all be available at a Rock and Roll Garage sale this weekend. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association will hold a Rock and Roll Garage Sale on Saturday.
Executive Director Clay Norris explains. “There’s records, there’s posters, there’s other memorabilia that people can come in and peruse and buy, and then also, we’ve got our inline merchandise and our clothing. That’s all going to be 20 percent off this weekend.”
He adds that memberships and concert passes will also be on sale. “Membership starts as low as $40 a year for single adults and $15 a year for students, and you get all kinds of privileges with that. That’s our base membership. We’ve got another level with even more perks, and there will be some other things for sale, like we have a Rock the Roof Event Pass that basically gets 12 shows for the price of 10. We’ve even got some items that would make great stocking stuffers. So, we’ve got everything.”
He notes that special entertainment is planned. “Spirit Lake High School has a group called Tuba Christmas. It’s all Tubas and Euphoniums playing Christmas music. They’re fantastic. Tyler Pedersen puts them together, and they’re going to be here to entertain at 11:30 in the morning.
The sale will run from 10-4 at the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Museum in Arnolds Park.
Refreshments will be offered with Beer and Wine available for purchase.
