Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association seeking Volunteers for upcoming Events including St. Patrick’s Day Concert March 17

(Arnolds Park)-The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association is looking for volunteers. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:

The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association is seeking volunteers for upcoming events.

Executive Director Clay Norris says the Association has many events coming up, including next week’s St. Patrick’s Day Concert at the Majestic Pavilion. “We really need some basic help setting up chairs. It’s pretty easy work but, a bunch of hands make light work, right? So, we just need help setting up the room and then later tearing it down, putting it away, maybe sweeping the floor. Then, there’s also other roles available like just being ushers and taking tickets at the door. The beauty of it all is that you get a free show.”

He notes that the need will continue in the summer season. “We will start having a show from the Thursday before Memorial Day until the Thursday before Labor Day and during our Induction Weekend, there’s going to be a lot of work that needs to be done that weekend. It’s our 25th Anniversary, so it will be a big event. Plus, we have some other shows during the year. We’re going to have a couple really big Friday night shows. So, we would love to have you join us and love to have you consider being a member of the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association. For a student, 21 and under, it’s only $15 a year, for an adult, an annual starts as low as $40 for an individual. So, it doesn’t cost much to support us, and then help volunteer for some of these events.”
