Iowa Lakeside Lab to offer No School Camps in February & March

January 18, 2022 Becky Thoreson

Iowa Lakeside Lab will be offering no school camps in February. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:

Iowa Lakeside Laboratory will host No School Camps for area students in February.

Education Coordinator Ashley Hansen says a couple of camps will be offered. “So, in early February we have our No School Camp for the K-4th Grade Students. It will be on February 7th, which is a day off for Okoboji, and February 21st, which is a day off for Spirit Lake and Harris Lake Park School Districts. Our plan is to be outside as much as we can. Hopefully we’ll get to do some sledding, maybe some snow painting. We’ll have indoor activities, as well. We’ll do some crafts and some science experiments. So, we’ll be inside and outside, but hopefully we’ll be able to bundle up and spend some time outside.”

She notes that registration for the camps will open next week. “Registration for the No School Camps will open on Monday, January 24th at 8 am, and you can find the link for the registration either on Lakeside Lab’s facebook page or on our website at iowalakesidelab.org.”

Another camp will be offered in March for Spirit Lake students. The cost for each student is $20.
