A Job Fair is on tap next week at Iowa Lakes Community College. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Iowa Lakes Community College will host their annual Job Fair on March 1 and 2.
Career Services Director Tim Ireland says the event is free and open to the public. “We’re going to have a free job fair, open to the public. We’re going to have about 60 employers in here between the 3 different sessions. What we want to do, of course, is hook up our students that are going to be graduating with the employers in the area and try to line up jobs for them. Like I say, it’s open to the public, so anybody that’s looking for a job is welcome to attend. Any employer that would like to have a table at any one of these 3 sessions, just needs to get a hold of me.”
He notes that the sessions will be held on two campuses. “So, March 1st, from 11 o’clock until 12:30, we’ll be at the Emmetsburg Campus Cafeteria. On March 2nd from 11 o’clock until 12:30, we’ll be at the Estherville Campus Cafeteria, and our last session will be on March 2nd from 12:30 until 2. This is in our Sustainable Energy Resources Technology facility.”
