Iowa D.O.T Accepting Input On Culvert Project On U.S. Hwy 18 East Of Hartley

(Hartley)– The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking public input on plans to replace a culvert on Highway 18 west of O’Brien County Road M22, east of Hartley.

A bid letting is scheduled for this coming November 28th with construction and completion scheduled for 2029. A detour will be in place while construction is underway. It will utilize O’Brien County Road M12 (Vine Avenue); County Road B20 (330th Street); County Road B20 (Warbler Avenue); County Road B20 (340th Street) and County Road M22 (100th Avenue).

The project has an estimated cost of nearly $1.6 million.

The Iowa D.O.T is accepting public comment until Monday, August 31st. More information can be found here.
