Investigation Into Threats Lands Suspect In Jail

(Estherville)– A suspect is in jail on multiple charges stemming from an incident late last month in Estherville. Police say they investigated an incident that took place in the early morning of October 29th in which threats were made and a gun was pointed at a man and his father while they were traveling on some streets in Estherville.

The victims identified the suspect as 19-year-old Jodeci Holmes of Estherville. Holmes was arrested November 1st on warrants for two counts of going armed with intent and two counts of harassment in the 1st degree. Holmes was additionally charged later with one more count each of going armed with intent and harassment in the 1st degree. Holmes is being held on a $75,000 cash bond.

Police seized and impounded a vehicle after obtaining and executing a search warrant on it. Authorities say the 2011 Chevrolet Malibu is being held as evidence.

Officers say the case is still under investigation and that additional charges may be filed.
