Investigation Into Suspicious Vehicles Results In Drug & Weapons Arrests

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– An investigation Friday night by a Spencer police officer who spotted two suspicious vehicles resulted in the arrests of two men on drug and weapons charges.

Authorities say the vehicles were in the 1700 block of 32nd Avenue West. A consent search resulted in officers seizing a baggie of a substance alleged to be marijuana along with a hunting knife concealed on the driver.

22-year-old Damon Myers and 19-year-old Clinton Larson, both of Spencer, were taken into custody.

Authorities then obtained a search warrant that was executed on Myer’s residence at 317 West 18th Street. It resulted in officers finding drug paraphernalia and two more baggies containing what’s alleged to be marijuana.

Myers was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; gathering where controlled substances are unlawfully used and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Larson was charged with possession of a controlled substance and carrying a concealed weapon.

Both were booked into the Clay county jail.
