Injured Child Report Results In Pot Arrest

November 22, 2014

(Paullina)– What started off as a report of an injured child has led to the arrest of a Paullina man on a drug charge.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says it was notified Tuesday by Baum Harmon Mercy Hospital in Primghar that it was treating a minor child for injuries.

Upon investigating, deputies arrested 26-year-old Thomas Boggs of Paullina on a charge of possession of marijuana…a serious misdemeanor. Boggs was booked into the O’Brien county jail on bond of one thousand dollars.

Authorities say the investigation into the child’s injuries continues.

The nature of the injuries and the child’s condition weren’t being released.
