(Estherville)– Crews with Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative continue to make good progress restoring power to its member-owners.
Terry Bruns, the co-op’s General Manager, tells KUOO News 225 of their member-owners spent the night last (Thursday) night without power. Bruns says the whiteout conditions forced them to call in crews. They went back out at daybreak.
Bruns says in many cases snow plows are having to run ahead of the trucks, breaking through huge drifts…many of them six feet high and 40 to 50 feet long.
