(Spirit Lake)– Students at Iowa Lakes Community College will pay more for tuition next year.
Meeting in Spirit Lake Tuesday, the college’s board of trustees set tuition rates at 113-dollars per credit hour for the 2007-2008 college year…up five dollars per credit hour from the current year. Non-residents and international students will pay 115-dollars per credit hour. Minnesota residents will receive a waiver of non-resident tuition through a reciprocity agreement.
ILCC trustees also increased the college’s Technology Fee from five to eight dollars per credit hour.
No mandatory fees were changed, however some other fees were adjusted to reflect needs of individual programs.
Even with the increases, ILCC officials say tuition and fees are still about half the price of four-year colleges.
