(Estherville)– Enrollment this fall at Iowa Lakes Community College was just short of a record.
The official count of 3,919 students is just 21 shy of last year’s record.
College officials say the strongest numbers this fall are in the Arts and Sciences area and Vocational-Technical classes. Arts and Science numbers are up 3.6 percent, while Vocational-Technical enrollments are up nearly 3.1 percent over last year.
Julie Carlson, Dean of Enrollment Management at ILCC, says they are very pleased with the numbers in light of the fact that secondary schools which feed into the college have been declining steadily for several years.
