(Estherville)– Iowa Lakes Community College has been awarded nearly 250-thousand dollars in federal money to help provide training and laboratory equipment for its Wind Energy and Biomass Energy programs.
The funds were included in legislation signed into law by President Bush on December 26th of last year.
The Wind Energy and Turbine Technology program started in 2004 at the Estherville campus; the Biomass Energy Processing program began in 2005. It’s based at the Emmetsburg campus.
