(Worthington)– Slick conditions were cited as a contributing factor in a couple of accidents Saturday in southwest Minnesota.
The first was reported shortly after 4:00 p.m. on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 at the Rushmore exit in Nobles county.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 29-year-old Keren Taylor of Spencer was struck by a vehicle while trying to help push another vehicle out of a median. Taylor complained of a sore leg but declined immediate treatment.
Minor injuries were reported in a single-vehicle rollover that occurred shortly before 11:00 p.m. Saturday on Highway 60 east of Brewster.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 32-year-old Alberto Contreras of Windom was traveling northeast when he lost control on the ice-covered road. The vehicle left the road, went into the ditch and rolled.
Contreras sustained a possible back injury but didn’t seek immediate treatment.
A 1997 Ford Explorer he was driving was totaled.
