I-90 Project To Start August 21st

November 22, 2014

(Jackson, Mn.)– Motorists on Interstate 90 in southwest Minnesota will encounter some road work starting next week.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says crews will begin resurfacing a 10-mile stretch of the eastbound lanes of the interstate just west of Lakefield beginning August 21st.

Robert Williams, Project Engineer with the Windom office of the Minnesota Department of Transportation, says motorists in that area should expect a lane closure and reduced speeds for one to two weeks as crews mill and overlay the pavement.

Southern Minnesota Construction of Mankato was awarded the project with a bid of 979,538-dollars.
