(Worthington, Mn.)– A single-vehicle crash Wednesday on Interstate 90 near Worthington injured a South Dakota man.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 63-year-old Gary Maroney of Lebanon, South Dakota was westbound when the vehicle he was driving went off the roadway to the left. The vehicle went through the median, traveled across the eastbound lanes and went into the eastbound ditch where it struck a tree before coming to rest near a fence.
Maroney was taken to the Worthington hospital where he was treated for some cuts and bruises.
Severe damage was reported to a 2004 Ford pickup he was driving.
The mishap took place shortly after 9:30 a.m.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office.
