(Newton)-Big name acts will be appearing at the Iowa Speedway in July. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Hy-Vee and INDYCAR have announced the musical acts who will perform at the Iowa Speedway in July.
Hy-Vee Assistant Vice President of Communications Christina Gayman says, some big names will be appearing at the event. “We are going to have country music superstar Tim McGraw as our pre-race concert before the Hy-VeeDeals.com 250 on Saturday, July 23rd, and then post-race, we’ll have country music duo Florida Georgia Line. On Sunday, we’ll have Gwen Stefani who will perform prior to the start of Hy-Vee Salute to Farmers 300, which is the Sunday race, and then post-race we’ll have country music artist Blake Shelton who will close out the weekend. So, really huge music acts.”
She notes that the concerts are included with race weekend tickets. “There is a dedicated Hy-Vee INDYCAR website, and there you can see everything about the race weekend from the races themselves, the schedules for the day and then, also music entertainment and a place to purchase tickets. The race ticket is the concert ticket and vice versa. There are not separate tickets for those. A one-day ticket gets you everything.”
