Hwy. 18 Rollover Results In Minor Injuries

November 22, 2014

(Fostoria)– The Iowa State Patrol has released details into a single-vehicle rollover that took place Saturday evening on Highway 18 just east of the intersection with Clay County Road M-54.

Authorities say 55-year-old Thomas McHugh of Emmetsburg was eastbound on Highway 18 when he hit some ice. McHugh then lost control, with the vehicle going into the south ditch where it rolled once, coming to rest on its wheels.

McHugh sustained minor injuries, but there was no word if he sought immediate treatment.

Three thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 2000 Ford Explorer he was driving.

The mishap took place around 8:00 p.m.
