Home Invasion Investigation Takes Strange Twist

November 22, 2014

(Rock Rapids)– An investigation into a home invasion robbery that took place last month in Rock Rapids has taken an interesting turn.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office now says the victims of the incident have been arrested.

Authorities say 22-year-old Christopher Hill and 20-year-old Danielle Connor have been charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana and no drug tax stamp. Both are class “D” felonies.

Bond was set at 10-thousand dollars.

Attempted murder, robbery and burglary charges were filed last week against Nathan Ubbinga and Nicholas Lytle in connection with the case. Ubbinga and another suspect, Kimberly Kramer, also face drug charges.

Authorities recovered a safe in the Rock River that had been stolen from the apartment. It resulted in authorities conducting a search of the river for other evidence. The only other thing that was found was a surgical glove.

The incident took place back on July 20th of this year at an apartment at 406 South Marshall Street in Rock Rapids.
