(Milford)– A heavy turnout is being reported among Dickinson county Republicans in tonight’s (Thurs.) precinct caucuses.
Republican Party Co-Chair Bill Sackett tells KUOO news 652 votes were cast in the Dickinson County Republican Caucus held at the Milford Community Center. Of those, 171 went to Mike Huckabee, who won statewide; 166 went to John McCain; Mitt Romney had 154, to round out the top-three.
Sackett says they had a lot of new registrations filed and that they had to scramble to get additional ballots printed. But in light of all that, he says things went very smoothly.
