(Wallingford)– A controlled burn from Wednesday evening that re-kindled early Thursday afternoon burned more than five acres of grassland in Emmet county.
Wallingford Fire Chief Jarrod Fischer says firefighters were called to the scene southwest of Wallingford in Twelve Mile Township shortly after 1:30 p.m.
Wallingford firefighters were on the scene about an hour.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters were assisted by the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office.
