(Estherville)– Governor Culver is touting wind Iowa’s wind energy efforts during a trip to northwest Iowa.
Culver says in the past year Iowa has increased generation of electricity produced from renewable sources by nearly 10 percent.
He says Iowa is the fourth highest producer of wind energy in the country. And, he says the state is home to five wind generation manufacturers who have recently decided to locate or expand in Iowa.
Culver was speaking to wind energy companies, utilities, educators and government representatives during the Iowa Wind Energy Association Conference in Estherville.
