(Welcome, Mn.)– A funeral service is scheduled Saturday for a local marine who died in Iraq.
Lance Corporal Robert Posivio the third of Sherburn, Minnesota died May 23rd while riding in a humvee that was hit by a roadside bomb.
The Kramer Family Funeral Home says Posivio’s funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Welcome.
Visitation will be at the church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
22-year-old Posivio was serving his third tour of duty in Iraq. He had been recently sent back into combat after being injured in a mortar attack April 13th.
