(Spencer)– No injuries were reported in a house fire late this (Friday) morning in Spencer.
Firefighters were called to 308 East 5th Street after getting a report of a fire in the basement. They were able to contain the fire to that area of the home. The cause was believed to have been electrical in nature.
The Everly Fire Department also responded to the scene for mutual aid. Paramedics and the Spencer Police Department also rendered assistance on the scene.
Firefighters were on the scene a couple of hours.
