(Lake Park)– A fire Sunday west of Lake Park destroyed a small machine shed and damaged a nearby camper.
Lake Park Fire Chief Brandon Ehret says firefighters were called to 2086 110th Avenue shortly before 5:00 p.m. Upon arriving, Ehret says flames could be seen coming from the machine shed and a nearby brush pile.
Firefighters extinguished the shed and some nearby grass fires, as well as a camper parked about 10 feet away from the structure.
The machine shed was a total loss with heavy damage to the camper.
No injuries were reported.
A dollar estimate on the loss wasn’t immediately available.
Ehret says it’s believed the fire was caused by a spark from a nearby brush pile that was being burned.
Lake Park firefighters were assisted by the Milford Fire Department and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
Firefighters were on the scene about an hour.
