(Spencer)– The State Fire Marshal’s Office says a fire that damaged a portion of the Maurer Manufacturing plant in Spencer earlier this week was accidental in nature.
Firefighters were called to the manufacturing facility shortly after 11:00 p.m. Wednesday. Firefighters quickly contained and extinguished the fire in a filter room on the plant’s north side. Some smoke was reported throughout the plant, which was ventilated.
Firefighters were on the scene about three hours.
No injuries were reported.
A damage estimate wasn’t immediately available.
