(Spirit Lake)—Fallout continues from action earlier this week by the Spirit Lake school board to accept what many say was the forced resignation of High School Principal Jed Sherman.
A group of citizens in the Spirit Lake school district has formed a grass roots organization calling itself the Coalition for an Accountable and Responsible Education System…or CARES.
The group will hold an informational meeting at 3:00 p.m. this Sunday (Feb. 10th) at the Expo Building in Spirit Lake. Students, parents and all concerned citizens have been invited to the session.
Meanwhile, the Spirit Lake school board is scheduled to meet in regular session at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the board room at the administrative offices. There’s nothing on the agenda pertaining to the high school principal matter.
