(Spencer)– Motorists traveling through Spencer on Grand Avenue can expect some delays.
The Iowa Department of Transprotation says traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Eighth Street and 17th Street, and a 12-foot lane width is in place until further notice.
The restrictions are the result of a re-surfacing project and work in the median.
There’s no word as to how long the restrictions will be in place.
Motorists are reminded to drive through the zone with extra caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are atleast double in work zones. Drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seatbelts.
