(Estherville)– The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office has released details into a couple of traffic stops last month that resulted in several arrests.
The first took place on May 25th when a deputy pulled over a vehicle in the 600 block of North 6th Street for a traffic violation. A subsequent search of the vehicle by the deputy, Estherville Police and a K-9 Unit turned up what’s alleged to be drug paraphernalia.
18-year-old Bergen Taggart, 20-year-old Mathew Radig, 20-year-old Adam Mustard and 18-year-old Katherine Urry all of Estherville were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and were booked into the Emmet county jail. They were released following a court appearance the following morning.
The other stop took place back on May 29th when an Emmet county deputy pulled over a vehicle for speeding in the 200 block Highway four south of Estherville. An investigation by deputies and the Emmet County K-9 resulted in the discovery of what’s alleged to be drug paraphernalia. As a result, the driver…20-year-old Anthony Defries of Estherville and passengers 19-year-old Matt Strayer of Estherville and 19-year-old Charles Doucet Jr. of Van Cleave, Mississippi were arrested and booked into jail for possession of drug paraphernalia. They were released following a court appearance the next morning.
