A special sale is on tap in Estherville Tuesday evening, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Estherville Area Chamber of Commerce is hoping to encourage local shopping with their Chamber Bucks Sale Tuesday night.
Executive Director Lexie Ruter explains. “We started this last year and it was a big success so we’re going to do it again this year. We’ll be selling $25,000 worth of Estherville Bucks discounted at 20%. So, you’ll save 20% on all of your holiday gifts. Maximum $500 per household. It is at 5:15 pm at the Chamber Office on Tuesday. You have to be here in person, in line, to get those Estherville Bucks, and you do save 20%. So, if you buy the maximum, the $500, you save $100, which is substantial when you’re thinking about holiday gift giving. We’d love to have everybody come out, spread the wealth through our town this year, keep that money local and shop the Ville.”
She notes that the Chamber Bucks are expected to go quickly. “Last year was our first year and we sold out in 5 minutes, we were not prepared at all. We’ll be more prepared this year.”
