(Estherville)– A routine traffic stop in Emmet county has resulted in drug charges being filed against several people.
Authorities say a deputy had stopped a Ford Ranger pickup Sunday morning south of Estherville for a tail light that wasn’t working. Upon looking into the vehicle, the deputy noticed some suspicious items often used in the cooking of methamphetamine. A search involving the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office Canine Unit turned up the presence of drugs. Arrested was 41-year-old Billie Gene Tuttle of Terril, who was charged with possession of methamphetamine precursors, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Also arrested was 39-year-old Andrew Hamre of Wallingford who was charged with possession of methamphetamine precursors, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
41-year-old Laura Weber of Terril was charged with possession of methamphetamine precursors, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
They were all booked into the Emmet county jail.
Bond for Tuttle and Hamre was set at 11,700-dollars each. Weber is being held on 13,650-dollars bond.
