(Arnolds Park)– Efforts are underway to establish a unified ordinance between the Sheriff’s Office and police departments in Dickinson county that would regulate the operations of E-bikes and scooters.

Kleve says the proliferation of E-bikes and scooters and a large increase recently in complaints of them being operated recklessly, is what has led up to the discussions. The trails are patrolled by a group of volunteers, known as SALT, or Seniors and Lawmen Together…
The Dickinson County trails do have posted speed limits of 20 miles-per-hour.
