The Worthington Windsurfing Regatta has announced a major headliner. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Worthington Windsurfing Regatta & Music Festival has announced country music star Easton Corbin will headline this year’s festival on June 10.
Music Chair Barry Roberts explains. “We’ve been looking at him for a few years and everything kind of aligned this year for us to get him to come to Worthington this summer. He had a couple number ones, he’s had about seven top ten singles. He’s kind of rocked the country music scene since 2009, and we’re excited that we can get him here.”
He notes that other acts will be announced in the near future. “We’re going to announce probably another four bands from every genre. We kind of like to do country, rock and pop for our free festival. Keep up to date on the Worthington Windsurfing Regatta & Music Festival facebook page and worthingtonwindsurfing.net.”
He adds that the festival draws people from around the globe. “There’s a lot of windsurfing on the lake that we get people from all over the world that come, and then, we have music for two days, and then we have a lot of great food vendors, activities for the kids. It’s just really a fun kick-off to summer.”
The Worthington Windsurfing Regatta & Music Festival will be held June 10t-12.
