There’s a new event in Lakefield, Minnesota this weekend. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Dudley’s Garage will host Dudley’s Snow Much Fun event in Lakefield this weekend.
Owner Jim Hussong says, the event will get underway on Friday evening. “We’re going to do Winter Soup Challenge. It’s a chef’s battle of who can make the best soup, and also we have the Winter Cocktail Challenge where out bartenders are going to compete to see who can make the best drinks. We’ll have a dinner special with steak or salmon that night, too, and then we’re going to have live music with Kurt Jorgensen’s Band. We’re going to have firepits with s’mores on the patio.”
He adds that the festivities will continue on Saturday. “We’re going to have Bowling Bingo. People are going to have teams. There’s different things like if you get a spare or a strike or how many pins you get down, so that’s going to be kind of fun. Out on the patio we’re going to have Giant Beer Pont, Mini-Golf Pong and Corn Hole going on . We’re going to have some free beverages, a ctually, coffee, apple cider, hot cocoa for the kids. That day we’re going to have live music with Jeremy DeWall. At night, we’re going to have karaoke. For the kids, we’re going to do face painting and coloring contests. We’re going to have ice fishing, Giant Jenga and Connect 4. The fire pit will be going again for s’mores outside and just have a great time.”
