(Okoboji)– The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will hold a town-hall meeting tomorrow (Tues.) evening in the Iowa Great Lakes that will be of interest to hunters. Chris LaRue, a DNR wildlife biologist, tells KUOO news the meeting will serve a couple of purposes…
“It’s a great opportunity to do a review from last season of how things, you know, have went, and updates on populations, and then to discuss and review rules and regulations. We welcome comments from hunters that have interest in attending. Again it’s just an opportunity to come in and, you know, visit with us and go over some things.”
LaRue says the meetings are held annually at locations throughout the state…
“It’s always done at this time of year so we can get those comments from the hunters and then that’s sent down and those comments are taken into consideration with our Natural Resource Commission before they work on, you know, approving new rules and regulations for the next hunting season.”
Tuesday’s meeting begins at 6:00 pm at the Maser Monarch Lodge just west of the Dickinson County Nature Center on Nature Center Road.
