(Des Moines)– The Iowa Department of Natural Resources announced Tuesday it’s extending the public comment period on new designated uses being proposed for various waterways in the state, including Mill Creek near Milford.
The DNR has proposed downgrading some of the designations, sparking concern from environmentalists.
The new deadline for submitting comment is 5:00 p.m. January 2nd.
The original deadline was Tuesday (Dec. 11th).
