(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors earlier this week set May 1st at 10:30 a.m. as the date and time for a public hearing on a request for the county to waive it’s right of first refusal on a small parcel of land at the Arnolds Park Amusement Park.
Mike Zenor, a board member of Historic Arnolds Park, Incorporated, made the request of the supervisors at their meeting Tuesday. Zenor says they need to waive the right of first refusal in order to lease some land at the corner of Lake Street and Highway 71 to Pirate’s Cove, which is leasing the land. The company is building a state-of-the-art miniature golf course on the site.
The city of Arnolds Park is also being asked to waive its right of first refusal on the parcel.
