(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors today (Tues.) awarded bids on two very different projects.
The low bid of 278,925-dollars for the reconstruction of a road in the Shore Acres area on the northwest side of Big Spirit Lake was awarded to Wick’s Construction of Decorah. The bid was below the engineer’s estimate of 323,880-dollars. The project will be funded through tax increment financing.
The supervisors also awarded the low bid of 152-thousand dollars from Tessier’s for a ventilation project at the county-owned Oak Haven Care Facility. That bid came in below the engineer’s estimate of 182,080-dollars.
Supervisors must still approve contracts for both projects. They’re expected to do that at their next regular meeting August 7th. Supervisors won’t be meeting next Tuesday due to the Dickinson County Fair.
