(Milford)– A new speed limit is about to go into place on a heavily traveled road near the site of the new Okoboji Elementary and Middle Schools.
The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors today (Tues.) approved lowering the limit on 213th Avenue between 225th
Street, also known as 6th Street in Milford and County Road A-34. Supervisor Levi Markwardt says he’s been in contact with Milford Police Chief Shilo Brevik on the matter…
“He was just concerned that while we’re adjusting these speeds around the elementary that we get people used to the, that road that’s heavily trafficked between the middle school and what will be the elementary, to get people used to it this fall.”
That stretch of road currently does not have a posted speed limit. The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously today (Tues.) to set the limit in that area to 25 mph.
