(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors Tuesday voted five-to-nothing to accept a new contract with Season’s Center, which operates Oak Haven Care Facility, which is owned by the county.
The contract contains some revisions from what was proposed originally. In the past, the county was required to sign up for a certain amount of beds…regardless if all of them were used or not. Under the new contract, the county will pay only for the number of beds it actually uses.
Eight counties contract with Season’s Center for services it provides at the facility through an outpatient transitional program for those with mental disabilities.
In other business, supervisors approved a changeorder for caps for flagpole sleeves to be installed in the veteran’s plaza at the courthouse at a cost of slightly more than a thousand dollars; approved a joint project with Osceola county to replace two culverts under 100th Avenue at the county line; and they approved extending a contract with Dan Eckert as County Engineer to fiscal year 2009.
