Dickinson County 4-H Program Receives Sizable Donation

October 11, 2021 Steve Schwaller

(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson County4-H program is getting a financial boost. Madeleine Bretty-Smith says they’ve received a sizable contribution…

“We are extremely thankful to be receiving $2,000 of money towards the 4-H program from Cooperative Energy. We’re very thankful to be able to have them support the program and we’re really excited to be able to use that for further programming and opportunities for the youth in our county.”

She says it comes at an important time…

“We are smack dab in the middle of reenrollment and new enrollment season, so our big push to enroll in 4-H in Dickinson county is from September 15th to the end of the year, December 31st, so this couldn’t have come at any better of a time.”

Bretty-Smith adds the Dickinson County 4-H program is starting up a new offering for youth interested in aerospace…

“It’s the Aerospace Interest Club for those who are interested in aerospace topics and building a model rocket to launch sometime this fall, feel free to give us a contact. This is a direct response from some of our very generous donations such as the one we got from Cooperative Energy.”
